Your Music, Your Future has some very exciting news to share!

Before we do that – we want to acknowledge that so many members of our community, their families and friends continue to be affected by the ongoing effects of COVID. Music creators have faced increased pressure to accept total buyouts of their works. So the mission of YMYF is more vital than ever.

As always, our aim is to educate music creators about what a standard deal has been for 100 years, what their choices are, and the hazards of accepting ‘total buyout’ deals for their music.

We launched YMYF in May of last year, posting across our socials on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to help spread the word – since then we’ve grown to more than 14,000 supporters. With each post, we’ve shared new articles and content created by well-known composers, attorneys, and experts to educate and inform us all. And with each post, we heard from you all through your comments and shares!

And now YMYF is eager to share that we’re back with even more news.

We started to think – what if we created a platform for our community to interact together? To learn by asking each other questions?

With that in mind: we’re thrilled to announce that we’ve officially launched our Your Music, Your Future Facebook group! Be sure to check out the link below – we encourage you to join and start asking away.

Our YMYF community is still created by composers, for composers. Colleagues helping colleagues.  We hope that our new group magnifies our message and with your participation there’s no doubt it will. We look forward to seeing you online!
